Beans

The aim of this project was to bring an inanimate object to life- by thinking about the story behind it, and why that object is meaningful to you- and then making a book out of it. The object I chose was a pawprint of my cat, Pluto, on a slab of clay. I took his pawprint before leaving home for New York over Summer 2022, and since I couldn’t bring him with me, I wanted to keep that part of him with me.

I illustrated the entire book, to hold the story together, and printed it on cardstock as well as transparent sheets. I french-folded the pages of the book, to give it extra depth and spiral-bound it.
